Reply® ATIVA

The REPLY® IQ keypad has now gone out of production and has been replaced by the ATIVA keypad, the world's first LCD touchscreen keypad. Other features include a chip card reader, numerous types of changeable screens, off line working mode and many others.

To view a short video of the ATIVA system, look below.

Reply® ATIVA is a revolutionary advancement in true two-way electronic voting keypads. This "smart" choice for audience response, electronic voting, and market research industry professionals includes a large graphics LCD to display multiple lines of text as well as confirm multiple character user input. Also, there are enhanced features available for specialty applications (secure delegate registration and voting, moment-to-moment polling, and more).

Features of the ATIVA Keypad incude:

LCD Touch Screen: Rather than have a fixed button face, the LCD touch allows only that information that is needed to be shown, for instance if the question is a simple Yes/No/Don’t Know answer question then rather than ask people to press 1 for Yes and 2 for No, 3 for Don’t Know: the screen will show 3 buttons with the relevant answer text on each button. Questions with more answer choices will show more buttons. The LCD screen can also show the results from the group voting. As well as question and answer text, the Ativa screen can show pictures loaded via the chip card, an SMS text or QWERTY style keyboard for text answers, or messages from the presenter to the keypad holder.

Chip Card Reader: The chip cards can be loaded with personal information so that when an attendee pushes their card into the Ativa keypad, that keypad is then registered to that person. The chip card can hold question and answer sets for what is called self-paced testing, this occurs when individuals answer questions in their own time and results are stored for later analysis.

Log-on capability: If an attendee’s name is in the voting software database, along with a unique pin number then by entering the pin number at the relevant time, the keypad will be linked directly to that attendee. This feature can also be activated by inserting a chip card with the attendee’s information programmed into it, into the Ativa keypad.

Dynamic Keypad Addressing: A method by which attendees can carry a keypad around to different rooms and link in to the base station in that room, thus ensuring that they can answer questions set in that room and not interfering with systems in other rooms. It works on the basis that each base station is set to a different channel number.

Messaging: A method by which participants can communicate with other participants by sending messages from keypad to keypad.

SMS or QWERTY Function: The Ativa keypad allows messages to be sent from the keypad to the base station and this can be done by showing either an SMS style screen or a QWERTY style screen on the Ativa keypad. This can be used to answer open ended questions that require full text entry capability, or can be used in the background during a presentation to allow participants to send questions to the speaker, that can be answered at the appropriate moment.

Microphone Queuing: A method by which participants can register their wish to ask a question, or make a comment. Participants press a button on the LCD screen that registers.
